2 leaders of Thakur-faction join Yadav-faction

KATHMANDU: Two leaders of Mahantha Thakur-Rajendra Mahato faction have joined Upendra Yadav-Baburam Bhattarai faction when the Election Commission started a head count of the members of executive committee to resolve the authenticity dispute of Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N).

Raj Kishor Yadav, who had served as a minster in the KP Sharma Oli-led government, and lawmaker Manish Suman of Province 2 joined the Yadav-Bhattarai faction at the last hour.

Earlier, the Thakur faction had urged the Election Commission to carry out the head count only after the hearing of Supreme Court.

But, the Election Commission refused Thakur faction’s plea and decided to conduct the head count to settle the authenticity row.
