AFC’s proposal to Nepal to hold 13th SAFF Championship in Nepal

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has received an official proposal to hold the South Asian Football Federation Championship (SAFF).

According to ANFA, Indra Man Tuladhar, General secretary of ANFA received a letter of proposal from SAFF General Secretary, Anwarul Haque, for the SAFF Champion event. Tuladhar said, “Now we will prepare a detailed proposal for the championship and send it for approval.”

A meeting between the member countries of SAFF was held on 23rd July about the host country after the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) decided not to host the event due to the growing COVID infection in the country.

Nepal has already hosted two SAFF championship before in 1997 and the second in 2013.
