Govt decides to resume medium, long-route public vehicles from tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to resume medium and long-route public vehicles from Saturday.

The District Administration Office (DAO) decided to resume medium and long-haul public vehicles by further relaxing the prohibitory orders.

Issuing a statement on Friday, the DAO said that it decided to resume the vehicles in order to facilitate the movement of the examinees and students.

CDO Kali Prasad Parajuli said that the medium and long-route vehicles will be allowed to ply the roads from Saturday.

The administration also urged the passengers to take tickets while travelling in the long-route vehicles.

The DAO said that it decided to resume the medium and long-route vehicles as per the decision made by the Cabinet on July 19.

The prohibitory orders are in place in till July 25. The District Administration Offices of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur decided to extend the prohibitory orders till July 25 in view of the continuous increase in the coronavirus cases.
