Lumbini Province brings budget thru ordinance
Rupandehi: The Lumbini Province government has brought the budget for the fiscal year 2078/ 2079 through an ordinance on Friday. The budget was unveiled after Lumbini Province Chief Dharmanath Yadav issued two ordinances on the recommendation of the Province government.
Province Chief Yadav issued Lumbini Province Appropriation Ordinance, 2078′ and ‘Lumbini Province Economic Ordinance, 2078’ on the recommendation of a Cabinet meeting held this morning.
Earlier on Thursday night, Province Chief Yadav had announced the end of the session on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
The House meeting was also stalled for some time after the leaders of the CPN-UML walked out of the House after the opposition alliance refused to provide the time demanded by the ruling party to forge consensus on the budget tabled at the Province Assembly.
Province Chief Yadav had announced to end the session on the recommendation of the government in accordance with Article 193(2) of the Constitution.
UML Chief Whip Bhumeshwor Dhakal had said that the government has decided to end the session after the opposition alliance showed reluctance to forge consensus and coordinate with the ruling party.
