All election processes postponed following decision by Supreme Court: Election Commission

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has said that all election-related programs have been postponed following the Supreme Court’s decision to reinstate the dissolved parliament.

Commission spokesperson Raj Kumar Shrestha said that all work related to the election will be stopped now. Shrestha informed Nepal Press “All election-related programs have been stopped here, No election-related programs can be taken forward now.”

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had dissolved the parliament on 22nd May and had announced elections on 12th November and 19th November.

Shrestha said that there was no significant expenditure in moving the election process forward.
