KATHMANDU: Vehicles have started running after 66 days after the prohibitory orders imposed in Kathmandu Valley to control the risk of coronavirus infection were relaxed. Traffic congestion has increased in Jadibuti, Koteshwor, Baneshwor, Kalanki and Jamal areas due to the number of vehicles.

The orders which have been extended till mid-July after changing some rules, have been implemented from today.

With the removal of odd-even vehicle systems on private and all kinds of public vehicles, the traffic has increased. Vehicles were allowed to run only according to the odd-even system last week.

As only vehicles with capacity of more than 25 seats were allowed to operate earlier, transport businessmen had demanded that all vehicles including those with a capacity of less than 25 seats should be allowed to operate.
