Second dose of Vero Cell vaccine being given today

KATHMANDU: The government has started providing the second dose of the Chinese vaccine Vero Cell to those who have received the first dose. Under the second phase of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, the second dose of Vero Cell is being provided from today to the 8th of July.

Citizens above the age of 60 who have been vaccinated with the first dose of the Vero Cell are being vaccinated with the second dose from Tuesday to Thursday. Citizens above the age of 60 had been vaccinated with the first dose of Vero Cell since 8th June across the country.

The second dose of the Vero Cell vaccine will be given from 10 AM to 4 PM in full compliance with the public health standards, according to the Directorate of Health. China provided one million doses of vaccine and distributed the vaccine on a priority basis.

                    There are 13 vaccination centres in Kathmandu Metropolitan City for vaccination.
