KATHMANDU:  Domestic flights, which were closed following government prohibitory orders due to the second wave of COVID-19 have reopened from today. Initially, there will be 64 daily flights according to the Airline Operators Association of Nepal. With the opening of domestic flights, passengers from different parts of the country have been able to travel to and from Kathmandu by air.  Face shields, masks, sanitisers for passengers and following health safety standards for aircraft operators have been made mandatory.

With the access to the flight, the bustle at the airport has also increased. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has requested the relatives of the passengers not to come to the airport premises to welcome or bid farewell saying that there is still a risk of coronavirus infection. Today, we captured the visual activities of passengers at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
