Salary of government employees increased by 2,000

KATHMANDU: The government has increased the salaries of government employees by Rs 2,000.

In the income and expenditure statement submitted for the fiscal year 2078/79, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel informed that the salary of all civil servants has been increased by Rs. 2,000.

The Finance Minister said that the salaries of all government employees have been increased by Rs 2,000 per month with effect from 16th July to increase the effectiveness of public service delivery.

The government is going to form a ‘pay commission’ to study the salaries of Nepali employees and submit suggestions on maintaining the salaries of Nepali employees.
