Dr Krishna Poudel appointed Spokesperson of Ministry of Health

KATHMANDU: Dr. Krishna Poudel has been appointed as the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, which is in the spotlight due to the responsibility of regular COVID-19 updates. 

Poudel, Director of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division of the Health Service Department, has been given the responsibility as the Spokesperson of the Health Ministry. 

The former Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwar Gautam has become the Chief of COVID Unified Hospital. Poudel was appointed by the ministerial meeting on Friday.

Dr. Poudel is considered a competent officer of the Ministry of Health. He was earlier the head of Kanti Children’s Hospital. An expert in child health groups, he has also done a master’s degree in public health.
