Home Minister Badal defeated, Khim Lal Devkota elected as National Assembly member

KATHMANDU: Congress, UCPN (M) and UML’s Madhav Nepal-affiliated alliance candidate Khim Lal Devkota has won the National Assembly seat. Devkota defeated UML candidate Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal.

Devkota won with a total of 5,088 votes. Badal has received 4,014 votes. Badal’s victory has become impossible as UML’s Madhav Nepal could not win the votes.
