Ministry of Finance agrees to spend more than 4 billion for pandemic control
KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has agreed to provide Rs. 4.3 billion for capacity building of hospitals and health equipment for prevention, treatment, and control of coronavirus.
The Finance Ministry has agreed to provide Rs 2.95 billion for ventilators, oxygen plants, and oxygen tanks in 26 central hospitals and nine provincial hospitals.
Similarly, an agreement of Rs 1.36 billion has been given to 25 central and provincial hospitals for the establishment of HDU, according to the Ministry of Finance.
According to the Ministry, the Ministry of Finance has ensured the resources as per the demand of the Ministry of Health and Population under the policy of taking all necessary measures for the prevention, treatment, and control of COVID-19.
