Nepal needs emergency assistance: WHO

KATHMANDU: The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that Nepal needs emergency assistance to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Friday, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Egypt need emergency assistance.

He also said that countries including Nepal are in a state of high struggle to fight the transmission. “The WHO will continue to provide support as much as possible,” he said.
