KATHMANDU: COVID-infected lawmakers will also participate in the vote of confidence in the Prime Minister at the House of Representatives.

In today’s meeting of the Working Committee of the Parliament, an agreement has been reached between the parties to create an environment for voting by bringing the infected parliamentarians to the Parliament House.

Committee member and UML MP Sher Bahadur Tamang said that the infected MPs would stay in separate tents in the Parliament building premises during the meeting.

“During the meeting, they will stay in separate tents. They will safely reach the lobby during the voting and return,” Tamang told Nepal Press.

COVID infection has been confirmed in 26 members of the House of Representatives. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to table a motion for a vote of confidence in a special session of the parliament starting on Monday.
