Leaving the city
KATHMANDU: As the second wave of the COVID pandemic intensifies, people are seen leaving the valley.
The bus park and the main exits from the valley are crowded with passengers returning home within the two-days deadline of lockdown. Many of those leaving Kathmandu are students and wage earners.
Police made a plan to tighten the checkpoint at the entrance of the valley from 12 noon on Wednesday.
The spokesperson of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office SP Shyam Krishna Adhikari said that more than 52,000 people have left Valley till Tuesday night.
The traffic police estimate that more than 200,000 people will leave the valley on Wednesday alone.
