Ministry of Health recommends lockdown for four weeks, CCMC briefing Prime Minister today
KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health has suggested a lockdown for at least four weeks as coronavirus infections in Kathmandu Valley are going out of control.
The suggestion has come to the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC), but no decision has been made. Ministers including Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel, co-ordinator of the CCMC, are scheduled to brief the Prime Minister on the current situation at 4 PM today.
According to a source at the Ministry of Health, the CCMC has received advice to stop negligence in Kathmandu Valley, saying that the COVID pandemic is on the rise and has reached alarming proportions in India. Sources have said that the government will take necessary decision after briefing the Prime Minister.
