7 young girls from Mahottari contactless since yesterday, search ongoing
JANAKPURDHAM: Seven Dalit girls and adolescents of Dharampur in Bhangha Municipality-8 of Mahottari have gone missing. Five girls and two teenagers who went to the field together to cut grass on Tuesday morning have not come in contact yet.
According to Bhangha Municipality Chief Sanjeev Sah, 11-year-old Archana Paswan, 12-year-old Seema Paswan, 12-year-old Ranjana Paswan, 13-year-old Jyoti Paswan, 13-year-old Riya Paswan, 17-year-old Nagina Paswan and 20-year-old Asmita Paswan have gone missing.
They had gone to a field near the village to cut grass from around 11 am yesterday. Mayor Sah said that they have not returned yet and a team including local representatives has been searching for him since last evening.
There has been a stir in Dharampur after the news of the sudden disappearance spread. We have been searching together since yesterday, we have not slept all night, ‘said Shah.
Mahottari Police Chief SP Dinesh Acharya said that police was mobilized to search for them as soon as the information was received. He said that it was serious for seven girls and teenagers to be out of contact at the same time. He himself is going to the place.
