Global IME Bank begins branchless banking services in Darbot Bazaar of Rolpa

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank has launched branchless banking services in Rolpa’s Darbot Bazaar. This is the 257th branchless banking service of the bank which has expanded its market aggressively after the merger with Janata Bank. Mayor of Rolpa Municipality Purna KC inaugurated the banking service.

Through this branchless banking, one can open a bank account, collect deposits and demand loans, get information about one’s account, pay interest on loans and other digital payment-related transactions, the bank said.

Now that agriculture, tourism and remittances are the main sources of income, the residents of this region are no longer forced to travel long distances to avail banking services.

Global IME Bank, which has 2.2 million customers, has been providing banking services in 27 districts through 273 branches, 242 ATMs, 257 branchless banking services, 47 extensions and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices.
