Lockdown declared in Bajura
BAJURA: An emergency lockdown has been announced to prevent COVID-19 in Bajura. The District Administration Office, Bajura, has started lockdown from Friday at 12 AM.
According to the District Administration Office, the lockdown has been issued as per the instructions of the Home Ministry. Chief District Officer Krishna Gaire said that the COVID infection has spread in different parts of India and there is a possibility of increasing the risk in Nepal as well.
According to Gaire, the injunction was issued on the basis of the decision of the meeting of the District COVID- 19 Crisis Management Center, using the authority given by Section 6 of the Local Administration Act 2028, Sub-section Infectious Diseases Act 2020.
The administration has instructed the district residents to celebrate Holi at home. He said that legal action would be taken as per the Infectious Diseases Act 2020 if found violating the order.
