KATHMANDU: The festival Holi is being celebrated in the Himalayan and hilly districts on the day of Phagun Shukla Purnima.

With the arrival of spring, bringing this message of reconciliation and mutual harmony, this festival has a tradition of playing different colours and water balloons.

However, due to the risk of COVID infection, Holi is less vibrant this year.

The streets and markets in the valley are less bustling due to the decrease in the number of people playing Holi. The traffic police have tightened the vehicle check.
