KATHMANDU:  Like last year, this time too, Holi was affected due to COVID. As per the information issued by the government, the people of Kathmandu did not play Holi openly.

However, in Basantapur, the youths forgot about COVID pandemic and were seen rejoicing in the light of Holi. Initially in small numbers, a good crowd had gathered after 12 PM. Young people were in large numbers. They celebrated Holi by dancing and singing. Initially, the police tried to crack down, but they did not stop.
