NC summons Central Committee emergency meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has summoned an emergency meeting of the party’s Central Committee today. The meeting will be convened at 11:30 am at the Central Office in Sanepa, Lalitpur. The meeting is expected to pass a condolence motion on the demise of party Central Member and Former Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi who passed away on Friday night. According to the party source, the mortal body of Joshi will be kept at the Central Office from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm today to pay the last tributes.  

Joshi, born on 19th September 1962, was rushed to Bir Hospital and then taken to the Norvic International Hospital Thapathali after he suffered a brain haemorrhage a month ago on 26th February. He had won the 2013 second Constituent Assembly elections Constituency 8 of Kathmandu.
