KATHMANDU: Dasharath Stadium is the most beloved ground for Nepali football players. However, the Nepali national team had not been able to play international matches here for six years. The stadium damaged in the 2015 earthquake took a long time to rebuild.

Even though the stadium was rebuilt last year, there was no football game due to COVID. Today, for the first time since then, the Nepali national team played in the stadium. Nepal played a good game against Kyrgyzstan-U-23 but could not get the result in their favour. The team looking for victory on the indigenous ground was stopped in a draw and the spectators were disappointed. However, the joy of returning to football at Dasharath Stadium was seen in the players.
