Order of all three CDOs from valley: action will be taken against those not wearing masks, restrictions on night businesses and cultural programs

KATHMANDU: The CDOs of three districts in the valley have decided to strictly adhere to public health standards to prevent the increasing number of coronavirus infections.

The Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur District Administration Offices issued a statement on Wednesday stating that action will be taken against those who do not wear masks in public places as per the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020.

The district administrations have also requested to celebrate Holi on 28th and 29th March at home. They have also urged not to crowd public places as the risk of infection is increasing in Kathmandu Valley.

Bhaktapur has also instructed not to hold fairs, processions and cultural programs until further notice. The Lalitpur district administration has decided to stop night business from 11 PM.

They have also decided to keep the quarantine and isolation centres in operation in readiness. The administration has also decided to strictly adhere to health safety measures such as sanitisers, masks and social distance.
