Maoist Centre convenes Standing Committee meeting, UML dispute also an agenda 

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has convened a Standing Committee meeting to discuss the latest political developments. According to CPN-M leader Ganesh Shah, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda convened a Standing Committee meeting at 9 am on Saturday to decide on the political developments and the agenda to be taken to the Central Committee.

The meeting will also discuss the growing controversy within the UML. Shah said that the new power equation will also be discussed at the same time.

CPN-UML had reconstituted various party committees on Friday without informing the Madhav Nepal faction. A standing committee meeting of Madhav Nepal’s side on Friday had decided to form a parallel committee.

Earlier, Prachanda and Madhav Nepal had agitated against the Prime Minister and CPN Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
