Meeting of PSP parliamentary party to be held, task force level discussion with UML also to be held today
KATHMANDU: People’s Socialist Party (Janata Samajwadi Party) has called a meeting of the parliamentary party. PSP convened a meeting of the parliamentary parties while the CPN-UML had been discussing with the UCPN (Maoist) Center for power cooperation.
The meeting to be held in the afternoon will discuss the selection of the leader of the parliamentary party.
After the discussion held with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Baluwatar yesterday was positive, a discussion has also been decided at the working group level today. After the meeting of the parliamentary parties, talks will be held between the bilateral task force.
The task force includes UML Deputy General Secretary and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Subash Nemwang and Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr Rajan Bhattarai. Sarvendranath Shukla and Laxman Lal Karna are from PSP in the task force.
To join the government, PSP has made the release of party prisoners including Resham Chaudhary, withdrawal of cases and amendment of the constitution the main condition. According to PSP leaders, the Prime Minister has given a positive response.
