Prachanda-Madhav faction to have standing commitee meeting today
KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Prachanda-Madhav faction is being held today for discussion after the Supreme Court refused to recognize the CPN.
According to spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the meeting is called at 11 am to discuss the latest decision of the Supreme Court.
“A decision of a bench of the Supreme Court on the Communist Party of Nepal today, its overall aspect and our policy will be taken at a meeting of the standing committee at the party office in Parisdanda at 11 am,” he said.
The unification of the ruling CPN is in crisis after the Supreme Court on Sunday handed over the authority of the Communist Party of Nepal to the Rishi Kattel-led CPN. The court has ruled that the former UML and the UCPN will be revived.
