Civil outrage against rape: ‘living corpse’ of young woman on street

KATHMANDU: Demonstrations are taking place in the capital every day in the name of the civil movement. But on Friday, an unusual scene was seen.

In the crowd of protesters, some men and women dressed in white were walking carrying the ‘corpse’ of a young woman. The ‘Singha Durbar Women’s March’ led by a massive civil movement against the increasing violence and rape against women started from Basantapur and reached the main gate of Singha Durbar through Ratna Park.
