Foreign Minister to visit India for high-level political meetings


KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Pradip Gyawali is scheduled to leave for India on Thursday for the sixth Nepal-India Joint Commission meeting. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday formally announced the date of Minister Gyawali’s visit to India.
According to the Ministry, the meeting will discuss Nepal-India bilateral relations including Nepal-India energy, border co-operation, infrastructure, communication network, investment, agriculture, tourism and culture.
While in New Delhi, Minister Gyawali will also meet high-level Indian officials.
The Nepali delegation of the two-day meeting will include Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Foreign Secretary, Health Secretary, and other senior officials of the Government of Nepal.
