Advertisement Board warns of action against non-implementation of Clean Feed

KATHMANDU: The Advertisement Board has urged the media not to broadcast dubbed foreign advertisements. Similarly, attention has also been drawn to broadcast foreign channels without advertisements.

The board has drawn attention to the implementation of clean feed as some media outlets are still found broadcasting dubbed foreign advertisements.

The board has stated that foreign advertisements will not be allowed to be dubbed and broadcasted in Nepali media. Stating that illegal advertisements are being aired even in foreign channels, the board has warned that action will be taken as per legal provisions. 

Clean Feed has been adopted in Nepal since October 23 (Kartik 7). Contrarily, foreign channels with advertisements are being broadcasted on IP TVs without obstructions. According to existing provisions, Nepali artists have to be used when publishing foreign advertisements in Nepal.
